Draft Standards

Draft versions of the standards are created by the Standards and Best Practices Committee, reviewed and edited by the SWGTREAD Board, then posted for comment below to solicit feedback from the forensic community. (These documents are available as Word documents.) The documents will be removed from this page once the expiration date is reached. The standards will be edited to incorporate the community feedback. Finally, the draft will be converted to a Published Standards.

When submitting feedback, the following information must be provided:

• Title of document
• Requestor's information:
  • First and last name
  • Affiliation (agency, organization, company, etc.)
  • Mailing address
  • Phone number
  • E-mail address
• Specific feedback regarding the document (e.g., content to be added, content to be deleted, spelling and grammatical errors) noting the section and page number (if applicable)
• Justification for the changes
