Tires

Make and Model Tire Frequencies on Vehicles

Investigate the likeness of tire designs on vehicles.

Frequency of Randomly Encountering Track Measurements

Determine the probability of encountering a vehicle with the same track measurements (i.e., track width and turning diameter) as found at a crime scene.

Effects of Tire Deflection on Casting and Known Standards

Tire deflection is a known and reproducible effect which may confuse some examiners when analyzing long sections of tire impressions to known standards such as inked prints. Include definition of deflection (i.e., industry source, engineering paper).
